About us
Bluewren Partners was formed in 2020 by Robert Bleeker, web & mobile app developer, and Geoff Farrar, registered civil engineer. The company’s mission is to further develop and deliver the Bluewren Photos Suite, a project that has been progressing since 2008.
Our other collaborations include the development of the Active Travel Infrastructure Practitioner Tool (https://activeinfrastructure.net.au/ ), which now forms the basis for the planning and design of, and investment in walking, cycling and equestrian facilities in Canberra.
Robert Bleeker
Director, Senior Technical Manager
Born and raised in the Netherlands and living in Australia since 1983.
World traveller, keen cyclist, team player, easy going, passionate, considerate, committed, and attention to detail.
Robert has been working in the web & mobile development space since 1996, working on a diverse range of projects, including the Photo Record Tool App and the Photos Suite.
Geoff Farrar
Director, Business Development Manager
Geoff is a registered civil engineer and has been practicing, mainly in Canberra, for over 30 years. He has developed specialties in infrastructure design and construction, including project management of subdivisions, pavements and wetlands, as well as active travel facilities design.
Having worked for large consultancies, ACT Government and developers, Geoff started his own consultancy, Civilscope Consult in 2007 and founded Black Mountain Construction Assurance (BMCA) in 2010. Having left BMCA early in 2020 to focus on the realisation of the Photos Suite, Geoff continues as Director of Civilscope Consult, a company that specialises in providing advice to government and private developers on land development and active travel infrastructure planning and design.
